Four-poster bed in polished steel
This exceptional piece of furniture has thoroughly utilitarian origins as well as being an aesthetic statement. The quality of the structure, the craftsmanship in its decorative elements and the colour and shimmer of the multiple polished metals emphasize the luxurious character of the bed. The bed is composed of a rhythmic use and repetition of neoclassical motifs. Friezes and rows of pearls are combined to create a symmetrical strip wrapped around the structure held together by four columns. The columns consist of chased, turned and cast elements stacked upon one another and ending in a finely folded metal pineapple with finial.
