Pair of seven-light girandoles by Louis-Auguste Hervieu
Description:
A simpler version of our candelabras, structured around an obelisk as well, featuring rams heads and three Erigone figures, supported by claws resting on a tripod base, surmounted with a star-studded sphere issuing lights, is currently in the collections of the Mobilier National in Paris.
Another one with seven branches, yet without the upper bouquet, can be admired in the apartments of the Ministère de la Marine (Navy headquarters), on the place de la Concorde.
